Dear ISA Members,
Let’s get together to capture the beauty of early spring! You’re invited to join fellow ISA members for an afternoon of plein air painting at Knudsen Park in Holladay.
This 6-acre "nature park" offers a wonderful mix of architectural lines and natural riparian scenery. It’s a fantastic spot to catch the shift in light as we head toward the spring equinox.
The Details

• When: Thursday, March 26th
• Time: 4:00 PM – Dusk
• Where: Knudsen Park, 6293 Holladay Blvd, Holladay, UT
• What to Bring: Your portable setup, favorite medium, a chair, and a warm layer for when the sun dips behind the mountains.

Artistic Highlights

• The Creek: Multiple access points to Big Cottonwood Creek for studying moving water and river stones.
• Perspective: Paved pathways and bridge structures that are perfect for practicing leading lines.
• The "Golden Hour": The park’s open layout allows for stunning views of the Wasatch Range and long shadows across the meadows as evening approaches.

This is an informal gathering—a great chance to socialize, share techniques, and enjoy the fresh air with the ISA community. All skill levels are welcome!
We look forward to seeing you there and seeing what you create.

Mary Grow will be doing a demo! Great opportunity to come polish your plein-air skills!

​December ISA Christmas and Year End party will be December 10th at 7:00 PM. 

This year we will have a pot luck dinner. Please bring a dinner entrée, salad or dessert. 

After dinner we will hand out 6” x 4” cards for you to create an artistic composition using either water colors, pen, graphite, colored pencils, crayons, markers, acrylics or any fast drying medium.
You need to bring your own medium from options listed above with you to create the composition. 
The paper cards will be provided by ISA.
You should plan no more than an hour to create your artwork. Art pieces will be exchanged with other art participants chosen at random.

We will be having a paint-out on Tuesday August 27th from 5pm to 8pm. 

Location: Veterans Memorial Park, 1985 West 7800 South in West Jordan.
We recommend entering through the north side about 2200 W.
